Default Lost Stolen Toy Collie

Hi I am not sure if I am posting this correctly or not if not someone let me know how and what to do. I am trying my best to let everyone know about my dog Mya. Mya was taken on Mother's Day (May 13th 2007) by someone driving a black or dark colored SUV with TN plates and a Stone Mountain GA tagholder. According to the witness the people lured my dog to them with food. I live in Foley AL which is a popular tourist area because we are near the beaches. Mya escaped from my 6 foot privacy fenced yard thanks to a loose neighbor dog who dug a hole under the fence to say hi. Mya had been let out in the backyard by my husband to potty. We had no idea the dog would dig but we had complained to the city about the dog running loose and nothing to date has ever been done (Foley does have a leash law). Please help me. What happened to me can happen to any pet owner. Mya was taken within about 10 min.
Mya is more than just a pet she is the therapy dog for the nursing home here in Foley. The hearts of the residents are as broken as mine. Please spread the word. Mya is a dark sable and white, about 14 inches at the shoulder, and was about 15 lbs when taken. Mya is microchiped with an AVID chip She will be 2 years old on Oct 21,2007. We have been on the local news, rented billboards for two months on AL HWY 59 (the road to the beaches) and still no leads. I have mailed letters to the editor to every newspaper in TN and sent a flier to every vet clinic. Please help us to spread the word and be on the lookout for Mya. a $1,000.00 reward is being offered no quesitons asked. We just want Mya back. email me at emszoo@gulftel.com for more info.
Thanks-Emily

I am sorry to hear about your losing Mya. It might be helpful if you could post a pic of your dog as well. Just keep in mind that the SUV could have been a rental. You may want to also contact rental car companies. Although it sounds as if you all have done a wonderful job of getting the word out to the area and vets.

Good Luck
