Default Sevierville/Pigeon Forge

I am also considering the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. When it comes to jobs though, every job listing on mountainpress.com's classified says there all in Sevierville. Are they just using Sevierville as a blanket term for that whole area? And another thing, though I used to live there a couple years ago, I'd like to know how the job market is in the winter there. Is it still all dried up at that time of winter, or is kinda easy to find work in the winter there? Thanks.

IIRC, Sevierville, though touristy, is also a real town. Pigeon Forge, not so much. I would expect that because of that, Sevierville would offer more consistent employment opportunities.

My time in that area was limited to a few months, so hopefully someone who lives around there can chime in and help you.

chick-racing is on a distinguished road
All 3 cities are tourism & lots of new construction. Best to get a winter job is in Sept. The Fall/Xmas season brings on October; the busiest month of the year, statiscally. Been there 17 years. Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are the 3 towns within 15 miles of eachother. Lay-offs may happen in January, but they will do their best to keep you if you are dependable. It's changed enourmously over 8-10 years. The "season" has extended almost all year long. And yes, Sevierville on web sites can generalize this full area. Hope this helps. Also, meet people and "word-of-mouth" to get a job is almost always successful. Good luck!
