Is annexation of county areas an issue in E.Tenn?
Specifically, my concern is with property owners in unincorporated areas being forceably annexed into various cities and towns. It would effectively cause their property taxes to double when it happens.
Are the various incorporated cities, big or small, actively annexing unincorporated county areas?
If this is an issue, is there a master plan that can be viewed that shows planned growth by the cities?
It could be a valuable asset to keep oneself out of the growth path and from being sucked into the added expense of a municipality.
My mind keeps thinking of things like this. However, oftentimes the issues are about something that's cannot be found with an internet search. Thanks for helping with any responses.
