Default Monteagle IMPORTING their water

In today's news.. Monteagle is under severe water restrictions and is importing its water. Apparently, they've been experiencing water issues prior to this year's drought.

Can anyone shed some light as to which counties in the upper cumberland plateau area have better water supplies (or are they all in the same boat).

I don't know about other places, but Cookeville gets its water from Center Hill Lake, and it gets its water from deep down inside the lake. So there aren't any water worries in Cookeville or other towns who get their water from Cookeville (Baxter, Algood, maybe others). I suspect that places around Dale Hollow also have plenty of water. Check Livingston or Celina. Likewise, Gainesboro probably gets its water from Cordell Hull, so I suspect they also have plenty of water.

I have heard through relatives that Monterey's water supply is running low. Crossville may be too.
