Hey this is really interesting! I do think that it's funny that the town in Tennessee with the highest elevation is called Shady Valley.

How's this for a challenge: let's see if we can find pictures from all of these places, maybe sometime this winter when there's a nice blanket of snow?

There are 22 populated places in TN named "Midway" and the highest one's in Washington County.
