This is Hwy 321 going into Gatlinburg, what I call the "back road" there and Gatlinburg.

This is a ski lift up and over the mountain all year round....I have yet to ride it, but plan on it soon!


Can you see the sky trolly? It brings people up to the ski resort.

Have you gone into the arts and crafts community on 321, just before you get to 441? It's full of shops with local crafts. Big fun. There's also a stable down the road from there for trail rides through the National Park that hubby and I checked out. On our To Do list.

Gatlinburg has some jewels that shouldn't be missed. Arrowcraft is the all time best craftsman's store I've seen. Absolutely amazing things. Big $$$, too, but it's worth it to look, even if you walk out empty handed. There's a really neat shopping area called The Village kind of tucked away on the main drag.

On the photo that's the fifth from the top, does all of the road signage in Tennessee look like that green sign or is that just typical of Gatlinburg?

Yes, I have been to some of those you mentioned. I love walking around, there are some great shops, have you been to the aquarium yet? It is even fun for adults! Awesome! Not to bad on admission either.

That's too bad. I like it. I've never seen a sign with a diagram that shows the road you are on and in which direction (north, south, etc.) you will be going in if you turn left or right, all on the same sign.
