Well I certainly wouldn't! Especially when there are land lots like these available without all the bull attached to these "super developments".
Land - Gray, TN, 37615 - Realtor.com
Land - Morton, Knoxville, TN, 37920 - Realtor.com
Land - 6503 Burnett Creek, Knoxville, TN, 37920 - Realtor.com
Land - LOT 6 HARDY CHAPEL ROAD, COOKEVILLE, TN, 38506 - Realtor.com
Land - DEER RUN RD, Tullahoma, TN, 37388 - Realtor.com
Land - LOT 8 SE BOHANNONS RD, CLEVELAND, TN, 37323 - Realtor.com
Land - L-7 LONE MOUNTAIN DR, Dayton, TN, 37321 - Realtor.com
These were found in a 2 minute search of locations all over the East Tn region, all have septic, water and roads already. There where hundreds more in each search, this is just a sample, not like super deals, just average.

To all those looking to move to chattanooga area, south pittsburg, monteagle and surrounding areas. If you go through a realtor you will only see what they want you to see. There is more there and it wont cost an arm and leg. I found lots for 7000, they are .75 acres in the city of monteagle, city water and septic systems. I bought in 2006 and they tell me the lots are now worth 20,000 to 25,000, but I am a builder and will sell for less with a build job. I currently have a 1500sqft ranch on the market for 160000's. If you look around there is plenty of property to see and there is definetly a pull for the local realtors to push you into the local builders developments, clifftops AND cooley's rift amoungst others. They dont tell you about the cheaper property and homes for sale they are after the comish and kick backs. Take a drive and you can find what you are in the market for and in your price range. Take old 41 from monteagle to jasper or toward manchester and there is lots to see for sale.

Some of these posts on this site are very offensive to the local people, that live in the area around Sequatchie Pointe. This is a wonderful beautiful area. I was raised here and know the area like I know the back of my hand. As for the salesman they are honest and knowledgable people. They have never been anything but honest any time I have ever contacted them about anything. And believe me because all of this is going up in my back door yes I ask alot of questions. As for you critics about the area the best thing for you to do is stay in the area where you are at. As for the others you would be very lucky to come and live in an area to where the people are all like family. Every one knows each other and looks out for each other.

Heck, I know I wouldn't pay that much for 10 acres! There's much better deals out there for people who just do a little searching on Realtor.com and other sites.
