theebelle is on a distinguished road
Moderator cut: orphaned: you were replying to a post that was deleted as it was posted by a troll just put too much faith and trust in people...Based on the disclosure we were not required to have a home inspection, only an appraisal, which we did...I have offered to pay for eye exams for all of those involved as you would of had to been blind not to see these things, I pray that the good lord brings the truth to the forefront...thank you for your thoughts, you will be happy to know that as of a week ago we were able to afford the Heat and air work. As we have over $70,000.00 in repairs to be made it will be a slow process...

I swear I mean no offense to you--but common sense would require a home inspection even if the law didn't...especially if you're not even going to step foot into the residence. I'm sorry for your troubles and hope things turn out well!

It's really a very sad story and you don't even seem as angry as I would think you would be. I think I would be half crying and half crazed with anger wanting to wrap this house around someone's neck. I agree with the above post though, even after seeing a house in person, I would never buy without an inspection. You can cover up quite a few things with carpet and paint. I know it's a late lesson now for you, so all I can say is I hope you can recoop some of these losses somehow. I really feel for you. I'm sorry this happened to you.
