Default NY to Murfreesboro/Nashville???

I am considering moving to the Murfreesboro/ Nashville area. I currently live in New York (Long Island). I was wondering if anyone has moved from the NY area to Murfreesboro/Nashville, and what they thought about it, as far as how much cheaper it is to live there and the quality of life as opposed to NY. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I was born and raised in Middle TN so I can't really give you an outsider's perspective of what it feels like to move to Murfreesboro from NY. I can tell you that I have lived all over Middle TN and moved to Murfreesboro over 8 years ago and we have been very, very pleased. It is a college town with lots of growth and seems very diversified to me. We seem to attract a LOT of people from all across the country and our city seems be blending together very well. Anytime I work with clients moving here from across the country, they all seem very happy to be here and pleased with the cost of living. I know that's not the angle you hoping to hear, but I hope it helps a little! Murfreesboro is a great city and I really think you will enjoy living here.
