Default Hello Forum

Hello forum. I am a 30 year old single parent and i am looking for a change. I have been in Louisiana for about 6 years and i hate it now. the pay here is terrible and it's not looking to get any better. i was looking to relocate to georgia last year but when i went to look the pollen was too much and it is a little to conjested for me. this is kind of what i am looking for.....

I have a 7 year old so of course i am looking for something that is in a good school district, equally diversed, not too expensive, maybe something that is not too far from GA but not too far from MS either b/c i have family. i went to Grambling State so i want my daughter to be able to experience the black colleges if she can. Also i am looking for something that has a good economic background, solid future in nursing or hotel mgmt. i haven't really figured out what part that i want to live in but are there any suggestions??? Is one part better thant the next or are they about the same. I know that this is vauge but any help or advise that i can get to get started in the right direction will help. Also i have seciton 8 so if anyone is reading this and you know of an area that is a good place to relocate and that they accept this please let me know. I have also taken the civil sevice test for state jobs here but not sure if another test is needed for state jobs there. any info that you can give me is very helpful.

I'll just mention that Nashville has three predominately black universities: Fisk, MeHarry Medical and Tennessee State and is also a medical center as well as a tourist center (lots of hotels, in other words).

If you have specific questions about Nashville you might want to start a new thread in the Nashville sub-forum.

Also, Chattanooga might be a possibility for you. Maybe even Memphis.
