MB Mouse, my daughter and I travelled for 2 weeks, the whole state of TN (2123 miles to be exact) and it is everything you showed in your photos. Is that Jonesborough??? We sat in the square and listened to a jam for an evening while eating a delicious ice cream cone. I adore the small town activities. I'm bringing my husband back to show him what it's all about Nov 28-Dec 3rd. We will be focusing our relocation search from Clarksville to Knoxville along to Northern region of TN. Can not wait!

Yes, there were pics of Jonesborough, it is a quaint little town.
Enjoy your trip, be safe and please don't forget to take pictures and come back here and tell us all about it. We all enjoy trip reports so much. I for one like seeing TN from others perspective as well.

I grew up in Tennessee (in the town of Loudon in Loudon County in eastern Tennessee. Most of my extended family are still up there. I wouldn't consider moving back to that state ever.

Brian: why wouldn't you consider returning to Tennessee? My husband and I are planning to relocate to Tennessee from the Texas Gulf Coast region (Houston) sometime in mid-2008. Many of the posts on this forum are positive. I'd be interested in reading your opinions about Tennessee.

Default True, But Come With Money/job

All that was stated is true, its lovely here, its affordable, no doubt about it! I have lived many places but this is the only place I have ever lived that I could not get a decent paying job! Sadly, I will have to leave and probably lose my house and everything for lack of a job that allows me to stay here. Do your research before you move!!! I did not....................

I have traveled and lived in different places but there is no better place to raise my six year old son then in Tennessee....I love it here and the people are wonderful, what can I say there's no place like home. As a single parent, I feel so much kindess and love living in the mountains here...everyone is so sweet and friendly, even on the forum

I sooooo wish I was already up there to enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains, nature and be able to enjoy good conversations with people instead of the irate ones that are down here in Florida. Been here 31 years and it was never as bad as it has been here lately...
