Wink East Tennessee

Uh! Oh! It's seems like the entire country is relocating or retiring to East Tennessee, just as we have planned to do this comming summer. I don't know maybe we should look elsewhere as it might get a little crowded there!!!!! HA!HA! I do have to admit the EASTERN part of Tennessee is much more beautiful then the western half.

Na, I really don't think we have to worry about EVERYONE moving here hahahaha. There are a lot of astigmatisms attached to "Appalachian" towns that will deter a lot of folks from bigger metropolitan areas. There are no ocean beaches here. Mostly those that want to get out of the rat race, enjoy nature, want smaller schools for their children and have no problem conforming to local ideals and customs. (usually because they already agree with them in the first place and can't find like minded folks where they are now!) Say hello to their neighbors, hold a door open for the elderly lady, allow a car to cut in front of you to get off at their exit.....you get the point. These are the folks that are moving here. Very very few move here for a shear "want to make a million in 5 years" goal.
The local governments will keep up with the small influx, but won't allow over growth. At least that is my opinion based on what I have seen in the past 10 years of living here in East TN.

Eastern Tn (Tri cities area and surrounding towns) is a treasure trove of country goodness and a little city flavor when you need it. We have room to spare. So escape to the beauty of our state, we will welcome you!

Default Growth area

We lived in Clev. in the 1970's and finally moved out because I couldn't make a deceint living there. I am in constructioin and development. This area is definately one of the hot spots in the country. During the summer we would routinely have two or three people a day from Florida looking to buy in the area. Moderator cut: advertising

Yes, you will see a big growth there. Read the article in the Clev Banner about the Lodge the Governer is building there!!
