I hope everything is okay, cncguy!

Lots of customers were out today. Lots of power outages, a few fires, lightning struck a lot of place, too.

i think spencer was OK.
I talked to gut from NWS about storm, he said it was fast and small.
only lasted a few min. but did fair amount of damage.
mobile home down the road was destroyed. looked like a bomb went off.
blew the steeple off the church across the street.
We came out well considering.... houses can be rebuilt, lives can't....
-Hey didn't I just do this 2 years ago for Katrina????
I'll want to give Thanks to Power Co. and Telephone Co., these guys were humping it in the rain to get peoples power back on....we got power about 10 pm.

Cncguy, thank goodness you and your family are safe. The destruction from a twister that only lasted seconds is amazing.

It is heartwarming to see so many out and ready to help even during a dangerous storm such as that.

The pictures you posted really tell a scary tale. Glad you are okay.

My wife and i were in Kansas this summer and went through Greenburg? and the devastation from that tornado was incredible. It went right through town. The farm on the west edge was not touched and the park on the east was missed. Virtually everything in between was destroyed. The brick courthouse and a house here and there were still standing, but even those buildings showed damage. Hope no one was hurt in the one you just had.
