Well, I like it too, but it's still funny that someone built a little White House.

Having to clean it would not be funny!

I had a big house once. Big mistake! Big houses are for rich people that can afford maids!

Yes, that is my house, how rude are you!!!
J/k hehehehehe
That is actually a historic home in Kingsport, it is the Allendale Mansion that is right across from my office. Please don't ask me about it as I have no clue, never thought to look up what the place is historic for hahahahaa. But there are a lot of weddings and activities held on the grounds of this place through out the year.
What the heck, you brought it up so I will take a minute to look it up here and find out what it is..........

Ok, found it, you want to hear something ironic? It is referred to (well, on it's web site anyway) "The White House of Kingsport" hahahaha, you pegged it alleycat! It is one of the first home/working farms in Kingsport and was willed to the city in 1969 by the Brooks, who is the family that built and owned it.

I looked at that website. The house is obviously of some size, but both your photo and the photo of the exterior on their website make it look small. Just looking at the photos, it almost looks like a kid's playhouse. Maybe because it has such grand details for a house that really isn't that large.

And the real White House isn't as big as it seems in photos (at least not the main part of the house that everyone thinks of when they think of the White House).

Default 3 More In Oak Ridge

Here are 3 more in Oak Ridge taken yesterday

[IMG][/IMG]

Here are those white feathery looking things up close so some Tennessee longtimer can identify them:

[IMG][/IMG]

I have a lot of bird photos but I'll just post one of this crane taken yesterday. In addition to not knowing the names of trees and plants, I'm not that swift with bird types so I don't know which of the photos I have are of Fall birds (migratory) or year round birds in the area.

The feathery plants are pampas grass, while the bird (terrific shot, BTW!) is a great blue heron.

Default Cove Lake State Park

Went to Cove Lake State Park this afternoon to check out their Fall colors. It is located in Caryville in Campbell County less than a mile from Exit 134 on I-75. Now it's out of season so I don't know how crowded this park normally gets in the Spring and Summer but it looks like there is really good structure for fishing in this lake which I hope you can tell from the photos. You are allowed to fish anyplace from the bank and they have rowboat rentals. You are allowed to bring your own trolling motor but no gas motors are allowed. I'm definitely going to check it out next Spring. (Note: They also have a restaurant)

The surrounding mountains are still colorful.

Also, here is a link to a map of the park and lake if you are interested:

Lovely! Did you take all of your photos through the car window? Your sky is so nice and blue! Every time I head out we're having one of those grey or white sky days, it seems.

I think the leaves will drop off next week.
