Default Foothills Parkway fall colors 11-17-07

Me and my wife took our dog riding with us over to Foothills Parkway (our favorite scenic road!) and took the camera with us. Fall came late from what I've heard, but this is our first full fall hear, so its all new to us. The colors have REALLY come out the last few days, and there was plenty of beauty to be seen. Would have been nice if it had been a more sunny day, but it was still great with the overcast skies and occasional sunshine!

Now that's more like it! Three - four weeks ago it was nothing like that. Beautiful!

Smile Thanks, tnbound2day. What wonderful photos.

Wow, tnbound, what beautiful shots. You did a wonderful job of capturing the last hurrah of autumn.

Our new homesite is about 15 mins. from the Parkway entrance, but we haven't been up the mountainside yet. It seems each time we are in the area we are so busy there is never time to do the extra special things we would like.

Guess where we are going to be next weekend! Hope it isn't too late. But, even without all the grandeur of the fall colors, it will still be a beautiful sight!

As long as the weather is even partially cooperative, Foothills Parkway is a truly beautiful scenic drive. Me and my wife have been on it at least 7-8 times since we got here last November.

Wow... how cool It's so beautiful! I actually have pictures from the exact same spot as your 4th picture that I took in May. See the horse farms in the lower left hand corner?

PS: I just had to say it would be sooo cool if someone took a picture from this spot if it snows
