Not sure about the job situation around Waverly, Paris, Johnsonville areas....but would guess not very good do to their size...

Do NOT relocate without a job lined up first....

^^ Good advice. Go for a larger city because there are more opportunities. What line of work are you in? It's hard to help without knowing a bit more.

Depends on why you picked THIS area. If you are running away from a situation you don't like, without doing a whole lot of thinking about what you want, then yeah, probably a mistake. If your biggest reason for moving here is because you think it will be cheaper, please keep in mind that the lower cost of living comes with tradeoffs, like lower wages.
Weather, natural disasters, politics, religion, diversity, density, public transportation, nightlife, ethnic food, outdoor activities, etc. what is important to you? Do your beliefs, needs, and wants mesh with this area or will you feel like a fish out of water??
TN is great for some people, not so much for others.

I was just at a meeting that where this was mentioned. There are about 30 motorcycle shops in Nashville proper, with about 3/4 of them being custom shops.

What will your rent budget be? And when you say, "live simpler...," what are you imagining?
