JTN, it is a BattleCreek Custom Coutry Corner. You know your log homes. We are very happy with BC. If you have any questions about BC, let me know. I know it is always helpful to talk to someone who has lived the experience first hand.

our-dream-home-hb-finally-done-view-loft.jpgRLRM77,

The house is 1600sq.ft + 1,000ft unfinished basement. We will finish it when we move in full time. Are you moving to TN? We too are from S. Fla. and cannot wait to move up full time. I am going to attach some interior photos...hope you enjoy. I will attach more later once I download.

I'd LOVE to see more pics! It looks beautiful. We live in So Fl and bought some property in Roane County. But it will be a few years before we can move. Do you mind if I ask how much this cost you to build....also did you have to to have septic and well dug? If so was that included in the cost of the home? I bet your totally excited!!

We have relatives in East TN that had a log home...ended up selling...saying the upkeep was too much work/expensive. THey had a problem with woodpeckers also. Does anyone have thoughts or personal experience with maintanence of log house...? Sorry if any spelling errors.

We have 12 acres in Benton county. More rolling hills and hollers than mountains. The economy there isn't very good, but we'll be retired when we move from Fla so it won't matter. Here is a picture of the cabin we would like to build, or one similar.

Default log homes

the upkeep was too much work/expensive. They had a problem with woodpeckers also. Does anyone have thoughts or personal experience with maintenance of log houses ...? google "concrete log home" It's amazing how real they look!
