Default HELP with questions on Tennessee

We are thinking of moving to Tennessee. I am trying to find out which part would suit our needs the best. Can someone help me out, please? We have horses and like to trail ride. We also fish, golf, hunt and ride 4-wheelers. We are retired, but would like to be no further out than 15 -20 minutes from a major grocery store and a Walmart. If someone that has horses reads this, will you tell me how the bugs are down there for riding? We would like to be in an area with a good vet and farrier. Thank you for any help!

Horsflies and deerflies are bad in the summer. You also have to watch for spider webs. I prefer fall and winter riding. The Jamestown, Tn area is a growing horse community. Big South Fork has many trails, though I havent ridden there, Ive heard good things. We sometimes go to East Fork stables which is nearby Big South Fork or ride on private land that is quickly diminishing. I have a great vet for both large and small animals. They make farm visits and will answer any stupid question on their emergency line any time of day or nite.LOL. There are many farriers around. I have used the same mennonite farrier for about 16 yrs. Jamestown does have a walmart, but there is not much other shopping or dining there. Its not too far from Crossville or Knoxville.
