Question Living in TN working in AL ,Tax?

Does anyone know how it would work if my husband worked in Alabama but we lived in Tenn.? Would Alabama take out tax from my husbands work checks? When the ULA merge goes through we were thinking of looking for a place to live in Ardmore TN...since we heard TN has no state income tax. Plus we have heard that there are people that work in the Decatur Boeing plant and they live in Tenn.
Thank you for any information that anyone can give us.
Anita

You would have to pay Alabama state income tax and your husband's company would be required by law to withold Alabama income tax.
