moving to Newport
Just came in from a week vacation in search of property. Can anyone tell me about Newport? Overall taxes? New home construction? Schools for 14 year old girl (who is blind) who currently attends regular public school with accomodations. Considering moving to that area from Florida in about 2 years or so. Any automotive tech jobs in the area or is Knoxville where the money is? I am a medical transcriptioning who works from home. Notice that people are so friendly and laid back in all areas of east TN and it's so nice. such a change from the people in Florida who are always in a rush to get places and by far are not as friendly. Any information for a potential newcomer to the neighborhood would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
