Default Homeowners Insurance

Anyone have any idea - just a very vague ball park guesstimate - of the cost of homeowners insurance?

I have been having a hard time getting anyone to call me back.

The house is in Van Buren county, 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, built in the 60s, 7.2 acres, 1 fireplace, CBS with brick veneer, not in flood or wildfire areas, very low crime rate.

Any guesses would help. We are in the thousands in Florida and very very hard to get anyone to insure you in the first place. Just wondering if it is going to kill us there too. Can't imagine it would, but many with the tornadoes?....

Evening Ladies-

I called Farm Bureau Ins in TN. today, & got the following info;
If this Ins co name gets deleted, you can send me a PM. (private message)
off "my Profile"........
I'll be happy to tell you both. w/phone number (or any others in need)!!!

(1) the more rural, costs a fair bit more. Harder to get to, etc..
living near a Fire Hydrant/or Fire Station is a reduction in cost of policy.
(2) New/er homes Ins. cost less, after 10-15 yrs old, will increase (more risk) according to Ins Co.
(3) if you ever filed an Ins claim, (over 2 thou.) w/in 10 yrs, it adds to total cost of your TN policy, by 10%...(& they do check) he told me that !!

I'm in Fla,too. 1 phone call got all this info, I do have a house address & zip code (up there), that I'm Very interested in. (if still there when I'm ready?)...
But just needed a ball-park idea. To sleep better..

You can find the Ins Co. # in the phone book. or ask information.
But because prices will vary...... I'll leave the quotes I got, off the table.
But smiling & sleeping are now easier to do !!!

'sleeper'
