I would like to know about motel & hotel business in tazewell,tn If someone can give me true information I will be very thank ful to you my friends I'm tring to move in that area and ofcource about wather year arround everage living condition of almost everybody. There are a couple of mom and pop type motels there. I think there's a Red Roof Inn or similar at Cumberland Gap at Harrogate.
There's a good dirt race track in Tazewell which brings in the business during the summer. They usually hold several big races a year and all the motels get booked.

The rest of the year, it picks up business from Cumberland Gap National Park.
It's a beautiful area but rather isolated. Closest town is actually Middlesboro, KY.
It's the old stomping grounds of Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket.
It's next to New Tazewell which has some industry. I think there's a Clayton Homes plant there.

Most business seems to head towards Middleboro, KY I think
I was in Tazewell Sept 06 for a family get together. My husband's grandfather grew up there and has many family members in the area.
