Default Question about Dunlap, Tn

I live north of Atlanta and don't think my initial hope of relocating to Tn is going to be realized (anytime soon). I've decided the next best thing would be to buy 10-20 wooded acres to enjoy getting away to( I want to hunt on the land and be close enough to public water to enjoy some fishing). An agent outside of chattanooga is looking into a landowner in Dunlap that has several hundred acres that is willing to sell off pieces.
I read an earlier post that didnt leave a favorable impression on the township, so I'd like to hear from knowledgeable people who can advise if this is a good place for my interest.

Cool Soddy COVES.??

O.M. We live along rt #27 just before one goes West on #111 over Walden Ridge towards Dunlap. If you like Boating (like me) one needs to be along the Rt #27 valley. There is also 10 - 50 acre tracts in North Hamilton , South RHEA county. My neighbor got his Deer out our back yard.

Yes , very larger tracts of flat farm land thru the #127 Dunlap valley. Just got new WalMart this year. Kind of FAR drive west from activities, and the different time zone for people in Dunlap, but plenty of elbowroom privacy. Pulling trailer up & over the mtn every fish trip.? Maybe just hunt west a few days of year,?
Very narrow Sequatchie river (Canoe Floats) thru Dunlap. Lots of fish coves off the Tenn river, Armstrong road area.
