Just drive a few miles slower than normal and give much more room (several car lengths at least) from the car in front of you than normal and if you do happen to skid, turn into the skid, be careful to not over correct.
"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!"
I cook a turkey, ham or pot roast on really cold windy days. Having the oven on for several hours when it is just turning dark (when it gets colder with no sun) helps the dreaded heat pump keep up without going into over drive. We also brought the wood for the fire place to the back porch in case of power loss, we have a heat source. Not expecting that this time but you can never be sure.
I am spoiled, hubby goes out in the cold, starts my car up and clears off the windows for me. I might be the Yankee by birth but he is a Tennessean which means chivalry is very much alive in our house

I am heading out to Knoxville/Kingsport tomorrow morning........Hope the weather stays nice at least for me Laura, please don't be skeering me!

Seems like the last time I had a trip planned, E TN had a snowstorm. I wonder if this means something?

So, I will be there Thursday and Friday most likely, or maybe I should wait for Saturday.....hhhhmm! Just kidding!

If this keeps happening I might have to head south

It's 21 degrees with a wind chill of 11 degrees!

The snow has stuck to the ground, but the roads look dry. I'm off to work!

In Florida, our cold comes tonight with many areas in the Tampa region in the mid to upper 20's. That's like the arctic around here! Good luck with the driving and take it safe.

Made it!

Most of the roads are bone dry. I saw a very small patch of ice, which is normal on this particular exit ramp. Should be very safe going, but please take it slow anyways!

By the way, thanks for the concern. It made me feel less alone this morning.

Thursday, it will be a beautiful sunny cold day. Bring your mittens, crank up the heat in the car and you should be fine.

When I got up and looked out the window and saw NUTHIN', I thought Hikky made it to work just fine.
