Default Mining in Tennessee???

My family and i are looking to move to Tennessee and was wondering if there were any mines still operational? I have been working in the mining industry for the past 6 years and was not sure if this was a job option in TN. Thank you in advance for your help...

As of 2004, TN's 282 operational mines employed 4,800 people. FWIW, the main products are coal, crushed stone, sand, gravel, ball clay and zinc.
