Smile possible move to Murfreesboro area..suggestions

We are a married couple with a 14 year old son and I will be starting at Nashville School of Law next fall, hopefully or at least will attend grad school at a university in that area. We are living currently in Adamsville Tn. and are both long time Tennesseans. We would like to investigate the Murfreesboro area. Any ideas on employment will be greatly appreciated. I am a LPN with 28 years experience and my wife is an admissions clerk at our hospital here. We own our home here in Adamsville so I'm sure there will be a delay in selling but we are patient….well lol (I think we will have to be with the housing market the way it is.). Looking forward to our relocation, but nervous of course with the idea of change. Please any information regarding the area very much appreciated.

Enjoy your day dave

murfreesboro is a great town about an hour south of nashville. my only thing i dont like about murfreesboro are the high schools..alot of drugs, gangs etc. i personally would not put my son (14) in either of the high schools there.(we live in shelbyville getting ready to move to Florida) my daughter went to oakland and well lets just say it was not a good experience. being in the medical feild you will not have any problems finding work!!! you might want to check out smryna its only 1/2 from nashville and its a bit smaller then murfreesboro.

We actually have four high schools now, and not just Oakland and Riverdale. Siegel High and Blackman High are actually very good schools with excellent reputations. My son and daughter graduated from Oakland. They opened Blackman about six years ago and I believe this will be Siegels third year. Siegel and Blackman are the most requested schools in the area. I don't believe you would have any complaints or problems with either of those schools.

There are lots of employment opportunities here with the hospital and also the large number of doctor offices here. Stonecrest Hospital is in Smyrna but it is not as large as MTMC and Smyrna does not have the number of medical positions that Murfreesboro has. Both communities are very family oriented.
