Default Relocating to TN (Brownsville) Rental needed

My Family and I are being relocated to the Brownsville area. From what I have seen and heard, I would rather not live there, so we are considering Halls or somewhere similar to that. We are a family of five, My husband, our three young daughters and myself. We are considering buying a home but have not decided yet, his job relocates him every two - four years. If possible we would like to lease a house for at least two years. We would prefer it to be in a rural area, but in commuting distance of Brownsville. It does not matter which direction, just as long as it is close to 25 miles or so. We are a very quiet, (as quiet as you can get with three kids) and stable family. If you know of any where or have any suggestions, please let me know...... Thank you!

I think you might have better luck if you post in this in the general Tennessee forum. I apologize if it's already there and I didn't see it.

You should be able to find plenty of affordable rental in the area you described. There's Jackson, Denmark, Westover, and tons more.

Covington, Bells/Alamo, and Maury City are all within a close drive of Brownsville. If you're looking for a small town, I would recommend any of those over Brownsville. (Maury City is very small and rural. Bells and Alamo are slightly larger. Covington is a full-fledged small town.)

If you're looking for something bigger, you might try Jackson. It's not great, but it beats Brownsville.

BTW, the locals call Brownsville 'Brownvul' without the 's'.
