Looking at the road in front of my house it's hard to tell what it will be like tomorrow morning. It could be icy.

At 11:15 pm here in N. GA we have 3 ins. on the ground mixing now with sleet. May be icy tomorrow, folks. Be careful on the roads.
![]() We are at 31º at this time and holding. Knoxville radar is showing precipitation now. Is it rain or snow? Hope everybody has milk and bread! ![]() |

Our snow turned into rain overnight. The snow that was on my deck is gone and it's above freezing. Judging by the school closings it's worse to the east of Nashville . . . so be careful over there.

I'm at work. Left at the usual time. North of Knoxville on the Anderson County line, on I-75, it was slightly slippery at 5 a.m. Just south of there it was fine. I'm sure the roads are okay by now.
It looks like North Carolina got a lot of snow. Looking for a report from the Mouse! ![]() |

Went to bed, not a drop of anything. Woke up to a winter wonderland! There is at least 2 inches of snow but turning to rain, starting to melt. Actually woke up to the sound of the snow plow (Last time that happened I was in CT! LOL!) which amazed me seeing as we live in a subdivision type area several roads off any main Rd. Never thought the town would plow these roads, how cool is that?! The boys are out building as many snow men as they can before it melts, they are on their second one so half of the yard is all grass again LOL! Hubby called and said the roads were clear, no problems on the drive and there is no snow at all in Elizabethton, they usualy get it and we don't. I won't be leaving for another half hour or so.
Well.....just got a call, my morning meeting got rescheduled due to the snow and the news man just said freezing rain is going to start up....maybe the afternoon meeting will be canceled too, we'll see. |

I live close to Antioch. I don't think that we even got a snow flake.
Alleycat, I was also fascinated by the same weatherman standing on the side of the road in Maury county yesterday afternoon/evening. He was getting soaking wet for some reason. I think his name is Davis Nolan. That's channel 2 for you. They obsess over the weather. I bet that a much higher percentage of their newscasts are devoted to the weather than any other local station. They really could have just told us that it was starting to snow in Maury county. |
