There's a lake not far out yonder isn't there?

In all seriousness, we were looking at historic houses. I do not want to blow 500-700K on one and freeze in Pa. Stumbled across a few of them here and also in Ky ( no not the kind some people buy in CVS )

Not sure if we even want to leave where we are ( Port Charlotte Fl ) but am exploring various options.

That said Mr Prosecutor sir, know anything about Paris...............Tenn ?

Heheh

Catfish - Smelling fish for a whole week at the world's biggest fish fry, one of their festivals. Never been there. Can't say anything good or bad about the place. Can't imagine smelling frying fish for a whole week. That's all I know or associate with Paris.

Look on the web for the Paris Post Intelligencer newspaper...that will give you the flavor of the community. Also if you'll search "Paris" in this forum you'll see some other opinions. Most seem to be of the same opinion as the prosecutor, but plenty of people make their home in and around the area. I grew up in the area so have a fonder outlook that some here. Not for big city dwellers, however!

This year it was only parts of 4 days they served fish and the actual fish fry was at the fairgrounds. It's a rather carnival atmosphere and kinda fun. There are other activities associated with the World's Largest Fish Fry throughout the month of April.

So far, other than the actual house it's not looking too thrilling either. Hospital for serious things like "heart" is far enough away that we can call the life insurance guy on the cell phone on the way to intensive care so as to get the claim started

Darn, all this is really time consuming. You hope you find a place then, whammo, not much happens.
