Hi, my names Scott,

My Question; Where would you personally buy building land in Tennessee and Why?

Im from England, have visited TN 4 or 5 times and really want to aquire some land. I love the state and want to move to TN someday. Im looking to build and mabe rent out, also use for myself mabe 2 months of the year.
The other option is to invest in land in a up and coming area, and sell one day to buy elsewhere in TN.

It cant be to remote and amenities are must.

Thanks ever so much and kind regards Scotty

In your situation I would recommend you take a look at the Sevier County area.

Default S.E. Knox.......

I would agree with S.M.G., her reputation #'s are impressive. Your question for "Rental" would suggest East or SouthEast of KNoxville. The Smokey Mtns start to get bigger and lots of summer tourist region. Activities are NOrth / SOuth & East of this Foothills, along with lots of HoneyMoon cabin activity / summer Kayak/white Water, hiking stuff.
I-40 expressway was being widened last week as we drove thru.
Enjoy.

Sevier County can be 'hectic" at times... however if your looking for a bit more peace... but still near the attractions... you might find Blount County,Townsend area a good fit. I have a place in Laurel Valley. It has a golf course, community pool, resturant, bed and breakfast for unexpected guests, and has night time security. The HOA fee is reasonable, roads are well maintained, and about 20 minutes from a hosiptal and airport. I keep my place rented throughout the year... and do quite well. My wife and I love our place in Townsend, and plan on using it more as we move closer towards retirement.
