46Barb -

I'm really looking into Mt. Juliet. So far I haven't seen a negative, but I keep looking.

We have family in Spring Hill. I like that area but it's very crowded already and continuing to grow. There is really one main road that goes from Spring Hill to Franklin and it's a bear during rush hour.

Anyway, I really want to be closer to Nashville. And the commuter train out of Mt. Juliet into the city is quite appealing. I'm planning a trip to visit Mt. Juliet in the next week or two. I can't wait. I'm so ready to move. We have been in limbo for a very long time.

It's a small world. We've also been looking into Mt. Juliet. If you would, can you tell me what you thought about it after you visit. We're trying to get as much info as possible to make a decision. As we have 4 dogs and won't use a kennel, only one of us will visit which will likely be me to make a decision while my husband stays home.

Mt. Juliet sounds like a really nice town. We've found some others, but religion played a big part in the community. We are somewhat religious but don't attend services (catholic & jewish). We just want a low crime, nice neighborhood to live in where we can grow old and enjoy life.

Thanks again for any input you'll be able to give me.

Question We will be in sevierville soon!

Still learning about the area, I recently posted a message. I am very new to useing the computer. I will leave my E-mail address at end of message. My family and I are moving to sevierville due to my wifes health declineing. I will be living with my wifes parents for a little while. She requires much help and my inlaws will be a great blessing. I am curious about work in the area. I have been remodeling home for many years now and have been in business for myself for about 8 years now. I have been told that your area is growing rapidly. I do all types of Home Improvement and would like to stay self employed because it enables me to care for my wife and child. My brother inlaw has been working as a superintedent for Merric homes fo about 6 years now and tells me there are plenty of people looking for someone to due there home remodeling (Bathrooms, Kithens, tile, Painting,Drywall and much more. My daughter Shannon has also been playing soccer here in San Diego on travel teams for a few years now, She is a Goalie and also plays the field well. We also would like some info on competetive club teams in the area. Do the middle schools in the area have school sports? They don't in San Diego. Please e-mail me at asrlane@sbcglobal.net with any helpful info you have. My paster is helping me with leads on a good church in the area. We have young adults that used to stay at The Gov. palace when they committed themselfs to a group called Primary Focus I am very excited about so much I have heard about your area and perhaps I will have the pleasure of meeting some of you soon ADAM

asrlane-Some of the middle schools have soccer programs. There is also the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) soccer program here. You can check them out online. They have some great summer camps, then fall and spring programs. My son plays soccer so that is the only reason I know this stuff.

As for your work, the only thing that I can tell you is that you will come across the family network here. As another poster on another thread said it, 'the good ole boy network'. Family first. The roots are deep here and people will use who they know or who is related to someone they know LONG before they will use an unknown. I would definitely focus on the newer subdivisions (most likely people that aren't from around here). Word of mouth is the best advertising. Also, belonging to a church will be helpful in networking efforts. Also, ask your realtor or meet with realtors to let them know of your business because they can recommend to their clients. Just a thought. It's a little tough here, though I do believe it's getting better because so many people are moving here.

We stayed in Pigeon Forge for a week, and I actually like the area. Housing is actually quite reasonable as well. My question is, I have 2 boys (will be in 5th and 8th grade) and schools are so important! I know Maryville has great schools, but how are the schools in Pigeon Forge/ Sevierville? ANY info would be great on the area or schools. I've heard traffic is a bear, hopefully some back roads are a possibility? Thanks so much, I'm just a worried mom wanting to make sure I'm doing the best for my kids!
Hi there! Just a bit of input here...We spent 10 years in the Newport area and was told that while the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge schools were good; just a few miles up the road is the Cosby school district. Homes are relatively close to Sevierville and the traffic is much less. The community is welcoming and the people are friendly. My boss raised two girls there. Both went on to top notch colleges.

Hope this helps and hope that you enjoy all that East Tennessee has to offer~~

Stacy

Default Soccer

My son said that the school soccer programs are played in the spring. I think there is a growing interest by the students in many schools to start fall teams, but they haven't completely caught on yet. Hope that helps.
