Default Thinking of Mount Juliet.....

I am thinking of moving from upstate to Mount Juliet. I was wondering what it is like? How are the schools? What is there to do in and around the area? Any info would be great and appreciated! Thanks

i live in lebanon which is right next to mt juliet.

it strikes me as any other similar small town of like 20k, not much to do in terms of night life and entertainment, but theres nashville for all that, which is only 20 miles away. but theres a new mall that was opened which many people around here go to shop, called providence mall. quite a few shops and restaurants, and it keeps getting bigger. or if you want an inside one, opry mills is about 15 miles away

theres quite a few schools. theres mt juliet elementary (they just built a new one a few years ago and they already out grown it somewhat, but it still seems like theyre running fine)...mt julliet middle and mt juliet high are right next to each other (for now, a new mt juliet high is being built). but if you dont want that, theres other schools too, like WA wright, lakeview, stoner creek (i wouldnt go there, the place smalls like mold), west wilson middle...rutland (which is across the street from a brand new, large, subdivison being built). but except for west wilson middle, theyre all elementary schools. so if you have a teenager, mt juliet high is about your only local choice

Thanks! I did look up the schools and they all seem to be pretty good. I lived in Clarksville as a kid for a couple years and my husband lived in Nashville for a couple years to after high school. I don't remeber much since I was just a kid so we will be visiting next month...just my husband and a friend so I am very excited to see it all again! Oh and check out the night life in Nashville....what time do bars close down??

Thanks! I have been reading some of the other posts and am starting to really miss some of the things that I do remember! Loved the "rules"!! Anyone have any places they love to go to on week nights, in Nashville mostly?..that where the hotel is I booked and it's only 10 miles from Mt. Juliet so I can easly get there to see apartments. Like I said I was just a kid when I lived in TN, I see that you pay tax on food (we don't in NY), anyother things like that I should know? Are firework still legal?

I could be wrong but I think he's from somewhere else, but has lived in Mt. Juliet for the past forty years or so.

Getting even further off-topic . . . Charlie Daniels is one of those people whose music I don't enjoy all that much, but I think a lot of the man himself. For several years I'm been involved with a children's home in Kentucky (as a supporter only); I've never seen him try to get any publicity from it, but Charlie Daniels is like a grandpa to the kids there. He was (and maybe still is) a regular visitor there.
