This is according to Becker's Hospital Review. Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga and Cookeville Regional Medical Center are the only hospitals in Tennessee to make the list of 100 Great Community Hospitals in America.
Here's what it says about Chattanooga's Memorial Hospital:
Founded in 1952, Memorial Hospital is a 415-bed hospital. The nonprofit, faith-based hospital is part of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives. It has been rated as high-performing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement by U.S. News & World Report. In 2014, Memorial Hospital received numerous CareChex awards, including the award for providing top overall hospital care in Tennessee and a ranking among the top 100 hospitals in the nation for medical care. Memorial Hospital also was named an iVantage Health Analytics HealthStrong Hospital this year.
Here's what it has to say about Cookeville Regional Medical Center:
Established as a 15-bed private clinic in 1921 and purchased by the city of Cookeville in 1927, the medical center has grown considerably over the years. Today, Cookeville Regional is comprised of 247 beds, 150 physicians and more than 2,000 employees, In 2015, for the third year in a row, CRMC was ranked among America's 100 Best Hospitals for cardiac care, coronary interventional and orthopedic surgery by Healthgrades. The medical center is also an iVantage HealthStrong Top Hospital.

I'm sure happy to see that as I am most likely going to have a knee replacement at Cookeville Regional within the next couple of years.

Cookeville RMC took great care of my husband when he was there for a quadruple bypass. I can't see why some go all the way to Vandy when we have such a good hospital in our own back yard.

Cookeville Regional Medical Center and Vanderbilt are partners. Since Vanderbilt was ranked the best hospital in Tennessee and one of the top hospitals in the country with 11 nationally ranked programs, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

When I live in Cumberland County everyone I met spoke highly of the Cookeville Hosp.. I had a few doctors on the hospitals staff and I was highly pleased with them.
