Question What do you do in Fairfield Glade if You Don't

play golf, tennis or bridge? That is a question my wife keeps asking? She is a bit antsy of moving there as she does none of that. What else is there to do? It is very pleasant there and beautiful. We have visited there and people are very friendly. I loved it and she liked it also but is now having second thoughts.

So what does she do where she lives now? If she's used to a bigger city with more options then you both have to know you're giving up some things in exchange for others. You both need to make a list of what you can't go without, what you want to leave behind, and what you expect out of the move. Sounds like for you its golf. Just remember that... if MOMMA ain't happy... AIN'T NOBODY HAPPY!

We know one of the women the runs some of the clubs there. She, and others we talked to while we were there, told us you have to learn to say no or you will never have any free time.

They take trips to casinos, the Biltmore, (Ireland in 2008 I heard), play cards, take shopping trips into Knoxville, etc. Some get together for Texas Holdem.

I know I'm forgetting a bunch. We were there the summer of '06 and my memory isn't what it used to be...

Keep in mind you're a day away from the Atlantic, the Gulf Coast, Chicago, D.C. is close. If you like to take weekend trips like we do there's a lot see. Allegiant now flies nonstop from Knoxville to Vegas (Yes!)

There are all kinds of clubs for like gardening etc. Volunteer programs.

My mother moved down there a couple of years ago, and she has joined a computer club. She has met several women and they run around.

She will find things to do, not just in the Glade.
