Thanks Tinman, but where can I find them? By the way, good start to your site. I have been thinking about finding different kinds of stones for jewelry.

The above is not my site,I was just curious on how many rock hounds or people interested in lapidary on the this forum. That site was the only one that had a good list of what was in TN. When in my Zen mode I also do jewelry. Hoping when I get too TN too really get back too basic art and craft stuff........

If you make jewelry for sale, I know of several large arts & crafts shows in Nashville. I usually go with a certain young lady and spend most of my time trying to pull her away from the handmade jewelry tents.

Hope this is not to far off topic.I brought home some rocks / Minerals from Africa and i would like to know what if anything they are worth.Do you know anyone in the knoxville area who could do so.Thanks

Hey Tinman, That is so funny you posted this topic. My Friend from work and I have started going to gem & minerals shows, she is going to go take some classes on it and next trip to TN I want to see what I can find. I never realized how many different minerals there are out there. great thread to start.
