S C, if the rural hospitals can stay open that is a source of decent paying jobs. Those jobs will have a multiplier effect - car repair, cafes, hair dressers etc. And consider the efficiency when there is health care nearby and the patient doesn't have to drive hours to see a doctor or clog up a big city emergency room.

Don9, you seem unwilling to have an intelligent two way conversation. I have no connection to Obama but if that's what you need to think, I certainly can't stop you. And Obama is on his way out, by the way. His term is ending. Time to look forward.

For what it's worth, Trump is leading the Republican Party vote right now for the next election. And he wants...hold onto your hat... a single payer system where everyone is covered (you know, like Canada).

And this, in turn, helps entice company owners to bring their businesses and create jobs. It's not good business to be located where your employees can't get reasonable access to healthcare. And where the overall health of the community is at a third world status.
