LOL! Okay, okay - look I heard about what I asked in this thread and was curious which means I didn't put down anyone or state.

But if what you said is true, imo that's not a good thing as we're "supposed to be" THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not The Segregated States of America.

That's cool and thanks - lets see if TN will be a new home for me or not, it'll be an interesting road trip for sure as I go south-southwest and to the southwest from there. I didn't want to travel over this major holiday weekend otherwise I would've been there already.

A sobriety checkpoint is essentially a checkpoint where officers can and do check your DL, insurance, and registration. I have been in TN for over 35 years and have been thru several.

Im not sure what you mean by mindset. The checkpoints are announced beforehand now, they stop everyone, if they are suspicious they will have you pull over to the side and run your info. The officers I have encountered over the years have all been professional and courteous even the time we were asked to pull off and they brought the drug dogs out to sniff the vehicle. I imagine because we were ratty looking college students driving a POS truck on New Years Eve. Of course I've always had my DL and registration in order and was not intoxicated, high or combative.
