Hi, I am retired Army and trying to decide on where my wife and I shoudl retire. We don't need to work so we can retire to either place.

Any one have any experience living in either Clarksville, TN or Johnson City, TN? I am looking for a place to retire. Johnson City has a great Veterans Hospital and is near the mountains. Clarksville, TN is near Fort Campbell, Ky.

Where would you retire and why?

They're different. My best advice to you is to visit each of them and see what feels right. They both have pros and cons.

Clarksville is close to Nashville. We have a VA Hospital here that is affiliated with Vanderbilt University.
