I'm a single mom to a 4 year old daughter moving from Huntsville, AL due to my job relocating me. I will be moving to Whiteville,Tennessee and wanted to know about the best areas to move to and daycare options. From what little I've seen on Craigslist apartment wise I know that I may not move into the actual town of Whiteville but would love for someone to tell me about the town's culture. I won't have any family or friends around me so I'm a little more than nervous. Thanks for any advice.

Whiteville is tiny and from the little I've seen, it seemed pretty rough. Are you working at the prison?
Could you live in one of the nearby towns like Bolivar?

Yes, I will be working at the prison and I would be interested in staying in one of the nearby towns. How is Bolivar?

Better than Whiteville, imo. But I've only been there a couple of times with friends from the area, and I haven't been there in a long time.
These are really small towns, and I think that's why you aren't getting many responses.
I have friends from Bolivar who moved back there after college and are happy. And one friend not from there who moved there and has lived there happily for at least 15 years.
