Exclamation more info !

S: The forum is full of info , mostly negative, on your brief situation. If you know nothing about area why buy building lot ? If you inherit land or friend discount I guess that good. Are you up on the ridge top and need all trees / stumps removed ? Very few contractors and they work on their own properties. Are you in valley on flat farm and want pasture for horses ?? Will house be close to road or need to run Utilities ? Somebody to work on a HOURLY rate will be red flag. Msg if you wish pictures, but maybe buy resale first then work on your lot for investment ?

I live up the mountain from dunlap. i find it to have a good location. i especially like the Hudlow farm Region. It is only 30 minutes from Chattanoga and about 2 from Nashville. At the beginning of the year they will be opening a super wal mart in town. Good contractors at a good price are hard to come by any where. If you need help finding one, i might be able to give my opinion on the matter, being i have lots of expeirence working with contractor. Be it builder, electricians, well driller, and the politicians in the area.

Dunlap is a cool area. Depend on what you want to build. You should have no problems finding a good builder in that area. I found a great builder that is building my log home in spencer
