Back in Philly, this was a none issue. However, I can't seem to find a primary doctor for my mother! She has Medicare PLUS a BCBS plan which costs me almost $300 a month. This is terrible.

Go to https://www.medicare.gov/forms-help-...re-finder.html.

Cursor down the middle of the page and click on "doctors and other health care professionals" and start calling whomever you see on the list for West Tennessee Counties or even Middle Tennessee counties that border West TN.

You may have to go outside Henry County to find someone taking new Medicare patients.

How far are you from Maury County? They have a big hospital system in Columbia.

This has been a known issue for several years and discussed on this boards. It is good to be prepared prior to moving to Tennessee. Your thread/post will hopefully help others.

You can't compare Philadelphia ( largest city in Pennsylvania) with a population over 1,500,000 with where you are living now....

Y'all will have to check out Medicare website, ask at your local hospital, urgent care offices, etc...Might have a difficult time, but you can do it...

Paris TN (Henry County) is closer to Nashville than Columbia.

An insurance agent in the area might be able to help also.....

With all the hoops that doctors have to go through for the government it's no wonder that finding one is a hassle and getting worse every year....
