The main story I've heard about so far is the mall that got hit in the Memphis area...
My prayers are with everyone in the South right now effected by this weather.

My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone over on the West/central sides of the state.
Here is the latest update I have found.

A powerful storm system has swept out of the Plains into the South and Midwest. The result is unfolding tonight and through the overnight hours as a variety of weather conditions have taken shape; including significant snow, flooding rain and a deadly and dangerous severe weather scenario.

Dozens of reported tornadoes have struck the mid South across the states of Arkansas, northern Mississippi, western Tennessee, and western Kentucky.

There have been numerous reports of damage and destruction throughout this mid South region including destruction of houses/mobile homes, overturned tractor-trailers, and cars pummeled with baseball and grapefruit-size hail.

Unfortunately, there also have been preliminary reports of several fatalities. There have been three confirmed fatalities in Atkins, Ark. and three confirmed deaths in Greenville, Kentucky.

Very heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms continues to fall across the Ohio Valley. Twenty-four hour precipitation estimates show a huge swath of 2 to 4 inches (locally 4"+) of fallen rain from Missouri to western Pennsylvania.

Thumbs up I am praying for everyone

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you. I have family in Kentucky and friends in Tennessee. I hope they are all ok. Sorry to hear of the fatalities. I am so sorry.
I am sitting just south of the Quad Cities in Illinois. We have been experiencing every kind of parcipitation that you could have, today. Sometimes it did it altogether and other times, just rain or just snow or whatever. THe thunder is rumbling really low right now. No snow yet. I will however take the snow over the toranados, any day. Good Luck All.

LIVE LAUGH AND LOVE

But what about around Parsons (i think it's Decatur county)???

This is scarey and sad. Tornados just have to be one of the worst weather phenomenons. I know we have the hurricanes in Florida, but at least you can watch them come and make preparations. These twisters that come in the middle of the night when many are sleeping are just devastating.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those in the affected areas.
