I'm doing some research for an older widowed vet. He's in his early eighties and in remarkable health.

He's thinking of relocating to Tennessee to start a new life away from old memories.

Obviously he's computer illliterate.

Can anyone tell me their experiences here in Tennessee.

Thanks in advance.

It's not the fault of Tennessee but the Federal Government VA department denied me access to VA benefits when I'm a veteran and by law eligible for VA benefits.

So it's not a Tennessee thing ... it's a Federal government thing

Find a DAV Office and talk with them.. if that does not work see your state representative.. then the media

Cookeville Outpatient 4 stars out of 5
Nashville VA 4 stars out of 5
All depends on who and whom you deal with in the VA. Same situation in Florida they are swapped with Veterans seeking assistance can't keep up with the care that's needed. The problem is.. if you were a Doctor with a specialized field and spent 20 plus years in the military and you retire.. the VA will pick you up in a heart beat because of your specialized service.. now you tell the VA I want to be near my kids in Orlando Fl. No problem.. you work at the Hospital in Orlando 9-5 for a couple years.. along with setting up your own practice once your practice is set up you tell the VA bye bye.. and that's life.
