I recently moved to Lascassas. My 9 year old goes to Lascassas Elementary. One of the many reasons I moved here was the ratings on the elementary school. I have never had as many problems as I do with Lascassas Elementary. My daughter being a 3 rd grade student as labeled a nuisance because she refuses to be bullied or beat up at school. She has came home with bruises on her head, black eyes, scratches on her neck and face. Finally my daughter called enough is enough and took matters into her own hands due to lack of involvement on school faculty part. Now my child is labeled the bully. I want nothing more than to remove her from this school. Any tips or information on home schooling in Tennessee would be much appreciated.

I am sorry to hear this. Often times, schools are set up not to side with either the victim or the bully in situations like these. Homeschooling is a big change for students especially at your daughter's age, as she will want to make friends and be involved in school activities (which she still can when it comes to extracurricular activities). Unfortunately, this happens all to often, where students and parents try to speak out, but the powers that be don't listen. I don't have any children, but they better be glad it wasn't my child....honey. Here is some information on homeschooling in Tennessee.
