Wow I just watched the video and must say how shocked I am that this 18 year old was actually proud to admitt and say how they stole money from a 9 year old. How sad. The 18 year old laugh and thought it was funny....?? Hopefully she gets help, being so uncaring she must have issues.

I am not surprised at all with children today. Where I currently live it's worse then that. The laws around here where I live are so dumb also. In the high school here two students were seen shaking hands. After the hand shake the one student was staring into his hand. The teacher that witnessed this walked up to the student to see what he had and it was ONE pill for gatric intestinal problems. Since the student did not have a prescription for the ONE pill he was arrested on the spot, spent 3 days in jail, kicked out of school and put in alternate school with KNOWN drug dealers. That's about as stupid as putting someone that stole a tv with a murderer.

Probably had heartburn and the other kid gave him a prilosec...sucks cuz now he's probably hooked on crack.

We have a similar situation here. Kindergarten kids getting suspended for playing cops & robbers on the playground (yikes, fingers shaped like guns!), a second grader suspended for drawing a stick figure with a gun. In NY they're trying to make it a crime to draw a picture of a noose. Kids can be expelled for using the expression "that's so gay" because it's considered bullying.

And yet, with all the big deal that's being made of laws trying to "crack down on crime", it gets worse and worse. Shootings are highest in areas where guns are outlawed. Kids are dying from overdoses from huffing gasoline and other household items.

Very sad...

I can't get to the video on the original post but I'll check it out at home.

Disgusting! She looks like a little spoiled rich boynton beach kid! She is for sure not in need of money causing her to steal. Just a brat who did it for kicks. Petty Theft? They need to teach her a better lesson than that. Maybe put her in a cell with some real criminals that would scare the cr*p out of her! If they let her off with a slap, she will think she can do this again and will laugh it off with her friends! Kids today have no fear. It's sad. It really is.

I hope the market corrects for you too. Not that kids here are perfect, but Florida is just out of control in so many ways. I have to say, I have several younger people that work where I do and they want to work. They don't complain, they work. It was not like that when I was in Florida. They wanted to get paid to do nothing!

Cookie theft suspect to be charged as adult (broken link)

"Some kind of cookie monster" I found that funny.

But on a serious note both the incident and school are right by my house. Its time to go. The thought of my son might come home with a little bimbo like this scares me. I would like to think when he reaches an that age I will have raised him better than that but you know how teenage boys are, not always letting their brains do the thinking.

That is insane. Getting in trouble for playing cops and robbers. I have great memories of that as a child. Of course I wanted to do the shooting and never wanted to act like I got shot. LOL. Those were the days. When children could use their imaginations and spent hours playing outside instead of sitting in front of a video game console for hours upon hours like today. Good thing the cops don't come around my house. I play laser tag with my son.
