Yes, a tornado took the roof off our house in '63. Alot of damage but no one was hurt. We lived on Main St. I moved to SC but went back last week because my Mom was sick. There were tornadoes that were pretty close one night (35 miles) so I was very afraid. When I was young my Grandmother had a cellar, we all headed there when there was going to be a storm. If I moved back to Tn. I would definitly have a basement or a storm shelter.
