Censusdata clearly has an anti-Tennessee agenda. After last week's tornadoes he ghoulishly came in here and reminded us that Kentucky has fewer deaths from tornadoes than Tennessee. Yet he is conspicuously absent from the Illinois forum to remind people in Illinois that fewer people are killed on Kentucky university campuses.

And let's not forget that the referenced report also has a word of caution saying that the rankings are not taken seriously by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies because there are so many variables from the way crimes are reported from city to city and from state to state.

The very notion that merely crossing the border into Kentucky will make us safer is absolutely absurd. Tennessee and Kentucky are similar in many ways, so it is highly unlikely that towns in Kentucky are gloriously crime free while towns in Tennessee are "cesspools of criminals and drunks" (what censusdata said about Tennessee in the Kentucky forum).

About the only thing more sophomoric than believing such ridiculous "studies" is spreading it around before verifying the methodologies and before applying common sense.

You mean, censusdata is just a cowardly, baiting troll? The kind of guy who has never grown up and who has to post half-truths and make silly statements in order to make himself feel important and brave? I can't believe that. This is the Internet; people just don't do that on Internet forums!

;-) LOL

The most livable states link has Tn at 44...? Do you guys think Memphis and maybe another area or two bring it down the whole state ? Jersey is 5! I have been through Jersey I'd never drive though there again if it could be avoided much less live there! And NY is what 22. I'm looking to move out of NY because I don't find it all that livable. The crime rate from the OP link for the Albany area was around 350....?? They have had 4 murders this year already, I think that number is a little low for our area.
