I wouldn't imagine moving ANYWHERE in this country in this day and age and expect to find a job the next day! One has to do their research and make the call, set up the interviews, make the trip FIRST!
Just my opinion.

Actually, my husband had a job within an hour of pulling into Tenn. I saw the job online Friday afternoon. My husband called him. We left for Tennessee the next day (we were moving that day, no matter what). Due to problems, we did not get into Tennessee until Monday afternoon. They were waiting for him annd hired him on the spot.

Then again, a good auto mechnic is hard to find!

In response to the poster w/2 dogs- if you are single do NOT move to Tenn suburbs- you will not like it unless you want NO nightlife- I am married-and want to move- Nashville may be different- I am in Johnson City- the mall is the big place to hang out

wish I read this forum before moving here- beautiful country, but no jobs. Sunny
