What do you need to know? I'm assuming you know SOMETHING about the place, otherwise why would you choose to move there? A lot of info is available right here at city-data.com. Let us know what you need to know and we can answer your questions.

What did ya wanna know? Um.....even though I don't live there I have been there many times & can tell you a little. Such as the people are fairly friendly, it's got a real country feel. Love the Amish but watch out for their horse & buggies especially through town. As far as the economy in Lawrenceburg, I can't comment. You may have to go to Columbia for real employment. But all in all it's a cute town and a great country setting.

I don't know if any of that helps but there ya go.

I'd say choose another town. There is nothing here. The people are all trying to sell their houses at twice what they are worth because they think they'll get the rich folks from Nashville to buy them. There are no jobs to be had & the crime rate is high. They've torn down almost all the old houses & store buildings and are putting metal buildings and double-wides in their place. There are few stores, mostly gift shops and a wal-mart. There is no such thing as a sale here. To get to any good stores you have to drive to Florence, Alabama, or Franklin, Tennessee. Lawrenceburg would be nice if you just slept here.

Default uhhhh...

just curious, do you EVER have anything positive to say? ALL of your 5 posts are negative, bitchy comments about Lawrenceburg. Why don't you just move?

Ahh, America/Lawrenceburg, Love it or Leave it? Great arguement. Why should I brag to these people and let them think the town is perfect, or something? Why not tell the truth? Because it hurts? I came here & saw posts that I could answer & I answered them. Tell me what I've said that isn't true...??? You don't appreciate someone else's perspective? I'd want to know the downside to a town before I moved to it. I'd want to know what natives thought. How they felt. Do people ask their questions hoping everyone will sugar-coat answers & tell them everything is wonderful? I live here because this is where my family is--and they have been here since the town was founded.

Ok, I am not saying that you shouldn't offer a different view than others, HOWEVER, I do think that --based upon your posts-- you seem to be perfectly MISERABLE living here in Lawrenceburg. Based upon that observation, I just think it would be best for 'you' to find somewhere that would make you happy. And this advice is coming from PERSONAL experience! I used to ***** and whine about my former place of residence --just like you-- until one fine day I realized that I had the power to <GASP> up and leave! And that I did. NOW, I am happy.

The funny thing is, you may actually LOVE the place that I moved from--it seems to have everything that you claim lawrenceburg does NOT. The very reasons why I LEFT and came here. You must understand, not everyone has the same ideals and dreams--what you find most annoying and horrible about this town, some of us find absolutely perfect!

So, no, it's not a matter of censoring your opinion, just telling ya, if you are unhappy then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND LEAVE!!!

The rest of us will find a way to go on without you...
