The sign was taken down within a day of being put up due to the outrage of the citizens of Polk Co.
Are we surprised that the congressional candidate that put is up is an idiot? Maybe the better question is does the idiocy of any political candidate surprise us.

Yes I agree with you, definitely not Polk Counties fault. The quality of people running for office in general has steeply declined in recent years, well this is just evidence of this fact. The national media used that sign to make our state look racist however. Any chance they get to play the " racist south" card, for some reason they enjoy doing it. The guy who put up the sign offered those folks some low hanging fruit to pick.


Funny no news agency went out of their way to report how the people of that area were offended by the sign, or that people in the state in general did not like the sign. Not fair to label an entire area or state racist for one idiot.
